And the winner is...!!!

Yes...I said I needed at least 20 people to participate in my competition this time.  It seems not so many people want stuff for free these days.  I got a little over half the entries I wanted. But those entries I received were lovely, heart warming, sad, happy, and very moving. I am a big softy if you know me, and I even cry watching silly advertising on tv, so I fought with myself for a little over it, but in the end couldn't really say no to those I received!

Here are some examples of what people wrote, and I LOVED what they said!

"Your shots are really beautiful, especially of kids, because they don't look posed or false."

"Jeg syns du er kjempedyktig, Jessica. Hadde vært SÅ gøy å ta noen bilder av meg og mine."

"jeg syns bildene dine er flotte, du får til noe helt spesielt med lyset og fagene, og så har du noen veldig morsomme løsninger på enkelte av bildene "

" I should win because I am awesome."

"I love that you always find a way to do something creative with your photos like unexpected backgrounds and settings."

"I also l-o-v-e your pregnancy and newborn shoots! If I win the lottery before my next pregnancy I'm gonna travel to Norway every month just to have u shoot my pregnancy and newborn photos, or maybe I will just fly you down..."

"We have always taken family pictures when on holiday, but they always end up with the four of us on a wall, sitting in a line, like ducks!! Nice background but shows very little of how close we really are. But a proper picture would be different! You could work your magic"

The person that WON wrote the most incredible letter I have read in a long time.  I am really looking forward to taking photos of her and I hope she enjoys it. It's going to be fun!

 Congratulations to...

Kine Gran!

Five Day Old Lovely Leo

I was so lucky the week before Easter to have visits from my youngest customers yet! This time it was a lovely little baby boy Leo.  They had only come home from hospital the day before!

He was just the most lovely little guy with the cutest sleeping facial expressions. It was nice his big sister could be in some of the photos with her beautiful red hair too! We were also lucky to have the most perfect day with plenty of wonderful natural light pouring in! Can't say the same for the weather at the moment...hehe!

By the way if you like my blog post maybe you can like my facebook page ;-)

Enjoy!

Six Day Old Sleeping Beauty

I kind of wonder if it could be possible that I keep loving my job, that every photoshoot is my new favourite, and I feel just so happy that I am getting people coming to me outside of Kongsberg! In a couple of weeks I am getting people coming from Virginia, US for a photoshoot! Yes they are coming to Kongsberg anyway, but they could have got photos in The States, instead they chose me :-D

This little girl was just adorable.  Her mum had come to me 5 weeks earlier for pregnancy shots, and then baby decided not to come until she was 2 weeks over due. She was the perfect little baby that slept through most of it to get some wonderful sleepy, snuggly photos.  And it was Easter in a few days, so I know it's a bit corny, but sometimes I can't help myself, so I did a bit of an Easter theme ;-)
The last photo is of her in this wooden container that they have in their kitchen.  She just fit in it and she will NEVER fit in it again, but it will be funny to point it out to her when she is big that she had photos taken in it!
Enjoy!

Cover Me!

I have been looking for someone to make some little nappy (diaper/bleie) covers for my newborns.  I have made a few crocheted ones, but I don't really have the time and don't want to end up with the same ones on different babies.  I like every photoshoot to be individual and original as much as possible.  So I didn't have to look so far, as the talented Gry from Kakle was more than welcome to help me out! Kakle makes clothes from funky retro fabric.  Very fresh, bright colours that should add a little colour to my shoots! :-)
Enjoy!

A naked baby is very cute but not always so practical when it comes to messy accidents, and I think it actually looks more cosy what I have been doing lately with the covers.  So with or without, I am very happy to have the choice for the individual photoshoots.  I so look forward to putting them to use this Spring and Summer...that said...what is with this snow!?
Tusen takk Gry.  Det var supert! Gleder meg til å bruke dem :-)
