An Intimate Wedding

I had been looking forward to it for along time.  I felt so honoured to be part of this very intimate wedding at Kongsberg Kirke, surrounded by only their brothers, bridemaid and best man, as they pledged their love for each other.

Anne-Berit is such a beautiful girl with the best laugh ever and Nils-Bjørnar looked so adoringly at her it took my breath away.

I met Anne-Berit at Hårakutten where she had her hair and make-up done by the very warm and caring Ingvild Holte.

Then I went home and met them again a little before 2pm for the ceremony at the church.  It really is a lovely old church and I felt I had better access with no guests in the stalls, and the creaking floors boards up stairs were perhaps a little louder but it all adds to the wonderful aesthetics of the church.

After the lovely ceremony we went outside and took some photos of them lying on the grass.  They wanted some photos from the day without their wheelchairs so they weren't reminded of what model they had in 2012, and that the focus was just on them.  I thought this was a fantastic idea and it got my creative juices flowing. They were very good sports at getting down onto the not so dry grass, with me spreading rose petals around them and standing over them like I might just fall on them if I lost my balance ;-) They also had such beautiful flowers and flower jewellery from Nufseriet.  I'd never seen anything like it.  It was adorable!

After we did the photos on the grass we headed to Skrågata where they would eat dinner and relax.  It's such a nice cosy restaurant with delicious food and I will have to get back there soon to have dinner with my husband (hint, hint!)

Thanks go to Cecilia for helping me out once again and hopefully not the last time!

Gratulerer så mye Anne-Berit og Nils-Bjørnar.  Takk for en kjempe fin dag! May you have a long and happy life together.

Enjoy!

Best Friends Forever

I took photos of Amalie when she was a few weeks old.  We spent two days taking photos of her waiting for her to sleep.  She did the 2nd day and as it turns out I think one of my favourite ones of her is with her big blue eyes open from the first day :-) I have become friends with her lovely mamma since then and she has been waiting until Amalie and her best friends baby Julie were 6 months so we could do some more photos. No they aren't twins, but their mums have fun dressing them like they are twins and it is very sweet.  The weather has been hideous so instead of outdoor photos my backup plan was my sunroom which has wonderful natural light.  It will be so good when I have my natural light studio one day so I can use it in winter too, but for the mean time this works very well.  I had visualised what this one was going to look like and it came out even better! These babies were a delight to work with.  Possibly more curious than interested in smiling the whole time, but they are just so adorable anyway and I'm not one to take just smiling photos anyway.  It's all about in the moment at this age :-)
Thanks Tina and Kristin for a lovely day with your beautiful girls.
Enjoy!

Out On The Farm

Helle won a photoshoot with me 1.5 years ago! We both forgot about it for awhile and then there have been lots of things standing in the way including sickness.  I was sick for 3 weeks with a terrible flu and then both my kids got chicken pox one after the other.  So I have felt a little hopeless lately, but it is good to be back!! And this photoshoot helped me feel very happy about it.

Sander didn't really want to be photographed, but enjoyed destroying flowers! At first I thought oh no don't kill the flowers! But then I thought let's use it and it worked.  It was like flower fireworks going off in the air! :-) Sara didn't want to be put down by her Mamma so we worked with that until she was comfortable.  I do like a good challenge and was so happy when they relaxed and let me take some wonderful photos of them.  I think Helle should be happy :-) It was good we waited in the end as they moved to such beautiful countryside!

Thanks to Unn Iren for the "loan" of her garden and Sonja for helping me out.

I am home all summer holidays if you would like photos of your lovely family :-)
