Little Posers - 2 Legged & Four

This seemed like it could have been one of the most difficult photoshoots I've had to date.  The idea of a 1 year old with not 1, but 2 small dogs in a photo together made me a little nervous.  But like I have said before, I DO like a challenge, and at least my customer also understood how it might not go as planned.  It could either work out really hopelessly, or pretty amazingly!
I took photos of Elena when she was just a few weeks old.  I love when they come back to me all grown up! Her four-legged brothers Choco and Antigo were a dream to work with.  They sat posed ready for anything.  They were almost taking the spotlight and I had to try some without the dogs since it was after all a 1 year old photoshoot :-)
I can now add four-legged friends to my list of things I photograph for customers. Not sure if they would all behave so well as these ones but I am up for the challenge! Thanks for believing in me Tove.
Enjoy!

Oscar

A lovely little 28 day old baby boy that was still very good at sleeping while I moved him around to take some sweet sleepy pictures.  What a beautiful little face and such elegantly placed hands.
Enjoy!

The Perfect Little Photo Album

This is the perfect little gift for a loved one.  A beautifully linen covered book by Jorgensens with thin leaf pages containing 16 photos in 15 x 15cm format.  This one I printed with some of my all time favourite newborn photoshoots in the last 2 years. Makes me so happy to see all these photos in one little book.  Such a wonderful gift to receive at Christmas.  I print, cut and place the photos in myself with loving care.  I am so happy with the quality and the way it has turned out.
Send me an email to order yours in time for Christmas!
Enjoy!

A Crisp Autumn Afternoon

I took these photos a few weeks ago before I went to Australia.  Now I have the chance to finally blog them.
I really love taking photos outside, especially at this wonderful time of year. We only had a little sunlight to work with before the sun fell behind the mountain.  We took the photos under my own apple tree.  My kids love playing there so I thought it was a nice idea.  3 kids to photograph is never an easy task, but like I have said before I do like a good challenge!.  The kids, big and small were really great to work with and I got some fun shots.  I hope I can take their photos again in the future as they own horses and I have always wanted to do a photoshoot with horses! :-)
Enjoy!

An Intimate Bush Wedding

I was flown over to Australia by my cousin Alina and her partner Nick for one of the most memorable weddings I have been apart of.
It was the first time I have flown by myself in 10 years and first time ever without my kids and husband! I was pretty nervous and I have to say at the last minute I was thinking why didn't I at least take one kid with me? But like my friends told me, it would be good for me, and it kind of was.  I saw Australia in a way I haven't in a long time.  With my eyes open wide, without distraction, I asked myself why can't we move back here? The birds, the warm weather, the beautiful beaches and the bush that I really miss.
The forecast earlier in the week was late afternoon showers, but when the day came, there was nothing but beautiful sunshine.  I was up early with jetlag that I had the whole trip so I ran around taking photos from sunrise of the beautiful flowers by Lou Vacher.  They really were beautiful.  Native flowers have always been a favourite and they were just perfect.  The head piece was just incredible and the everlasting daisies slowly opened over the day.
Then it was off to get makeup done at Melli in Terrigal and hair by Jaala.
Alina is a bit camera shy like many of my brides and I really recommend more of my Norwegian brides to consider "getting ready" photos as that really prepares them and gets them used to having photos done over the rest of the day.
The wedding ceremony was a small group of their closest friends in the gorgeous bush setting called Pearl Beach Arboretum.  Alina walked down "the aisle" to her son playing the violin which was a wonderful touch.  A poem was read and a heartfelt song was sung.
We then ran around taking photos in the area before heading back to our glorious accommodation for a quick break before dinner.
It really was such a wonderful day.  Worth every minute of jetlag ;-)
Thankyou so much Alina and Nick for including me on your very special day.  All those facebook chats and pinterest shares paid off.  It was everything I imagined and so much more!
Enjoy! x
